Agrabad Mohila College was established specially to give higher education to the girls’ students of South-west area of chittagong city corporation in the year 1988 at Road No. 17 CDA R/A Agrabad, Chittagong in an area of about .4125 acres and another 12 kathas of land are earmarked for the staff quarter and students hostel under the auspices of former President of AGRABAD RESIDENTIAL AREA SOCIO CULTURAL ASSOCIATION Mr. A.H.L.K. Siddiqui, M.P. which was also established for the welfare of the residents of CDA R/A Agrabad, Chittagong. The College was started with first batch of 98 students who were average in merit among whom one student who passed the SSC Examination in 2^nd Division but obtained 4^th position in the merit list of commerce group at the HSC Examination under the Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education, Comilla in the year 1990. This result was an achievement for a newly established college and it was highly appreciated and encouraged by all sections of the society which results gradual increase in number of students. At present, the number of students in Intermediate & Degree Courses has become more than 1200.  To achieve the specified goal the lesson plan of the College including curriculum & extra curriculum programme are framed from the beginning of academic year & its continuous execution are displayed- through an academic calendar for the information of students, guardians, teachers so that they may prepare the students for the examination. The name & reputation of the college in respect of successful achievement of excellent result in public examinations of education Board & National University has already been attracted the concerned section of the society under the proper & active guidance of founder Principal Late Professor S.A. Siddiqui, the most renowned educationist & administrator of the sub-continent.

The Committee for recruitment of teachers was so careful & sincere for selection of 1^st batch of 12 teachers excluding Principal who were excellent in quality devoted themselves with nominal remuneration for the improvement of the college in all respects so that their every effort may help to reach to an expected goal under their active supervision among whom the present Principal Mrs. Anwara Begum (Alam) was one of them. The founder Principal kept her (Mrs. Anwara Begum -Alam) in his keen observation & assigned her such responsibilities so that she may get herself fully prepared to carry out higher responsibilities and accordingly Mrs. Anwara Begum was appointed Vice-Principal of the college & served in that position sincerely for about 7½ years. After the expiry of the founder Principal, Mrs. Anwara Begum was appointed Principal from 06.03.2006 & under her successful administrative capacity, the college achieved a very good and excellent reputation by obtaining 10^th position in merit at the HSC Examination of 2009 under the BISE. Chittagong. At present the total strength of teachers are 43 including 1 Instructor, 3 Demonstrators & 1 Librarian. Everyone’s effort & sincerity ensures healthy, peaceful & congenial atmosphere of the college. The College is now running in a pleasant five storied building fully constructed with the willful financial assistance of the local generous people who are mainly interested in education but without any financial allocation from the govt.
